I believe Bellydancing is a celebration of a womens body. It is one of the oldest forms of dance and comes from the Middle East, mainly Egypt. In the Middle East it's known as Raqs Sharki, in the West it's known as Bellydancing, and in Turkey it's known as Oryantal Dansy. Bellydancing is also a great way to tone your tummy, a fabulous way to keep fit, but most of all its FUN !
I have been Bellydancing for many years now and have learnt from the best British, Egyptian and International Dancers. I prefere Egyptian style and Folkloric Dances from the Middle East. I feel have obtained good technique from my many teachers/mentors. This has helped me become an accomplished performer and teacher. I continue to advance my knowledge with ongoing private lessons and workshops, and pass this knowledge onto my students. NEW 'BELLY-AEROBICS' CLASS STARTING 7.30-8.30pm FRIDAY 27th JAN.
